2005-2006 Stephanie Ann Chain
It is with pleasure that Mustang Ponies announce the winner of the 2006 NOBC John C. Angier III Memorial Scholarship: Stephanie Ann Chain, Mustang Pony #144, the granddaughter of Mustang Adolph Bud Warnecke #265L.
Stephanie is a Freshman at Midlands Technical College, Columbia, South Carolina. The program there will provide Stephanie with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a foundation to transfer to the University of South Carolina to major in Elementary Education.
While in High School, Stephanie competed with the school swim team. She was on the Junior Varsity soccer team until injuries sidelined her, and she now coaches youth soccer. She has also participated in Interact, a community service club. During her senior year, she was part of Junior Civitan, a national community service group. Since age 12, Stephanie has been a babysitter. She has continued to work part time and keep up her studies and community activity. Currently she is a customer service representative at Home Depot.
We are delighted to award Stephanie Ann this scholarship and add her to our fine list of Mustang Pony college attendees.
